Silicon Valley Actor Joins Stallone Mob TV

Martin Starr, who played Gilfoyle on Silicon Valley, will be heading to Oklahoma to star in Tyler Sheridan's new show Tulsa King, where he will be acting alongside Sylvester Stallone. Originally titled Kansas City,  Tulsa King is the next in a long line of shows that Sheridan has releasing on Paramount+, such as Yellowstone and its prequel series 1883 and will deal with the exploits of crime boss Dwight Manfredi, who will be played by Stallone. Also starring are The Wire's Domenick Lombardozzi and Andrea Savage.

Now, after he brought the laughs as Mr. Harrington in Spider Man: No Way Home, Deadline reveals that Starr has joined the cast of Tulsa King. According to the report, Starr will play the role of Bodhi, the proprietor of a marijuana dispensary. He will also be joining Tulsa King as a series regular, so it can be expected that Bodhi will play a large part in the story of Manfredi.

From the sounds of it, Starr will be bringing a much-needed comedic edge to Tulsa King. While Sheridan's programs are widely acclaimed, they are often quite stony-faced and serious, so there is plenty of room for a little comedic touch. It can be assumed that Starr will be utilizing the comedic chops that he honed on Freaks and Geeks and Silicon Valley in order to lighten up the mood and, from the sounds of his character description, he might just bring some of the love too.
